May Clark

Shortly after germinating this seedling stood out. Its short jointed compact growth demanded attention right through to flowering. And flower it did with a constant profusion of small flowers that just had to be admired. Medium strength pedicel supporting semi double flower. The tube and sepals are best described as bright pink tipped green. They don't fly fully but sufficiently to expose a lovely rolled corolla of powder blue. This, similar to in others of this colour gently matures to bright pink adding to its appeal. Already tested on the show bench in 3.5 inch pots and delighted the visitors. It is also an excellent candidate for the hanging pot. This one just keeps on flowering, so perky and proud. A little lax for bedding but will make an excellent container plant for the patio.
It impressed everyone who visited my home for a preview of the seedlings. It produces six sometimes eight flowers across a pair of leaf axils. Forever in flower.  Remember the name.

Now available 2003.
