Isle
of Mona
This cultivar is named after Cymdeithas -Ffiwsia - Mona Fuchsia Society.
It's
pink tube is complimented by white sepals tipped green which fly back to
cover the tube, effectively doubling the size of the flower.
The sepals are also flushed red at the base. The petals of the corolla are baby pink flushed red neatly
laid and retain their shape.
The anthers are large, red and white and compliment the pale cream stigma.
The foliage is dark green and held on wiry branches which are semi lax
making it most suitable for basket work.
It also makes a nice standard.
This cultivar does not like being over watered.
Once
the growing technique has been mastered it is very rewarding to grow.
For
best effect needs to be grown as a large specimen.
Has a lovely form and is well worth growing.
