Eleanor
Clark 1977
A true single fuchsia with baby pink tube and sepals which recurve to
cover the tube. The long
single pink corolla is almost identical in colour to the tube and sepals.
Very free flowering and
easy to grow. This is not a seedling but a sport from the
American cultivar Symphony.
Whilst dressing a show plant of the cultivar Symphony I found one
branch where the corolla of all the flowers had changed from lilac
to pink. The
main plant was cut away and the sport grown on and propagated.
It is widely grown in the southern counties. Named after my late
mother. A
lovely fuchsia well worth a place in any collection. Upright.
Took best in show at Mona Fuchsia Society Show 1999. Still
exhibited with success.
